Sandra presented a name tag to Bruce
Bill in the absence of Heather in the absence of John presented Pat Atkinson with a club Paul Harris award.  Pat would have received the award of the president’s dinner but was out of the province.  Congratulations to Pat.

COMMITTEE UPDATES:
Pres. Sandra asked each committee chair to discuss their committees.
  Social (Judy)
  PR (Lane) - note our flags are being digitally presented; for old-school Rotarians, Rotary has come full circle and networking is now “in”
  Membership (Margaret)
  International (Gordon)
  Youth (Mary-Lou) - Rotoract, Interact, Youth Exchange and RYLA
  Auction (Kal) - we have confirmed May 12, 2017 for the next auction, to be held at Riverside
  Treasurer Arnoldo announced that members can now pay by credit card for breakfasts, Sgt. at Arms etc.  There will be a form for each member to sign if desired to pre-authorize payments on credit cards.  There will be a fee of 2.5% for each transaction.  Invoices will be issued.

SERGEANT AT ARMS:
Arnoldo was Sgt. at Arms.  His family has been in Canada 13 years as of July 1
Bill is off to Europe for three weeks.
Margaret enjoy her cruise and had a fun weekend in Whistler
Judy spent an extra-long weekend in Birch Bay
Debbie S is enjoying Tsawwassen and viewing all of the fireworks north and south of the border
Past Pres. Chris is now fully employed again with Richmond school district at least until year end.
Belinda is off to her cabin for two weeks
Gordon spent his long weekend in busy Steveston
Dalbir hosted an engagement party while Kal and Lovina were off enjoying a concert
Danny is off to Asia for a month
Susan is back from travelling 3700 km in Western Canada and the US
Elena is 44 years in Canada!

Apologies to Larry. He was not "tagging along" on the boat cruise last week. He was co-host. Sorry Larry.
