Richmond Sunrise Rotary has been supporting the Binners' Project which operates in Vancouver's Downtown East Side. We are happy to report that funding has been approved. 
The Binners Project supports binners that live and work in the DTES neighbourhood. This funding is supporting our efforts to ensure the binners are properly outfitted in uniforms that allow them access to income opportunities available through the Project's Social Enterprise Program. We are purchasing long sleeve shirts (not jackets as you noted) and toques which will better equip the binners to work in colder weather. This funding will allow us to support 60 binners attached to our program and will help de-stigmatize the work they do in the community by allowing them to show off their uniform with pride.
