A few years ago, we heard about this project - Inherit Your Rights. It was all about engaging Tanzanian women to ensure they knew their rights of inheritance following death or divorce of a partner. The program (supported in part with a D5040 District Grant) was highly successful.
The local Rotary club (RC of Arusha) is involved in this latest program which was targeted at women but more importantly was expanded to educate men and children in the wider aspects of Gender Equality.
Our club is rightly proud to have been instrumental in changing attitudes in this Tanzanian community!
