This is the weekly bulletin for
The Richmond
Sunrise Rotary Club
for February 04, 2020

Last weeks meeting

Larry presented Belinda with another Paul Harris pin, congratulations Belinda!

Dalbir presented a cheque to the Richmond Jets. Here is an excerpt from their newsletter that says it all:  "Thank You Richmond Sunrise Rotary Club A special thank you to our friends at the Richmond Sunrise Rotary Club for their very generous financial donation to the Richmond Jets.  We are able to launch our inaugural Anti-Bullying t-shirt campaign, which will enable over 1000 of our players, coaches and volunteers to help support the Richmond community in its fight against bullying."

Johnny AC, along with Chris M and volunteer Eleanor reviewed the Givergy process for the auction prize entry process.  Givergy system is now live and available for data entry. Well done and thanks for the excellent tips and reminders.

    -  Dalbir is working on "transitioning to retirement" - is that the same as "slowing down" or is it working harder than ever in order to be ready for retirement?

    - Carolyn told a language skill development story about 2 yr old granddaughter. Capable of multiple effective use of just 2 words at a time including "Nanna carry"!

    - We need more "Debbies" - we have 3, two were in attendance last week but we missed Number 3!

   -  Susan explained the lack of crowds at her place of business - may be connected to current Coronavirus "scare"... Post meeting note - Saturday was back to overcrowded normal..

   -  Marg gets so comfortable in her dentist's chair that the dentist tells her "you have to leave now" when her procedure is finished!  Is he taking new patients?!?!?!

   -

Meanderings

     - (repeat) Treasurer Kathy has been busy with our "Rotary books" sending member invoices - she reminds us all to "pay up" via cheque or e-transfer...
