Last weeks meeting
Carolyn introduced and Joyce thanked our speaker. Susan gave us an excellent overview of the Publicity committee's recent work! Major objective is to make the club more visible. Our club now has an Instagram account with spotlight on projects. Project examples are the "water filling station", "walk for water", "Ghirra Toy Drive" and the "Richmond Orchestra and Chorus Christmas concert". Assistant Pat had brought and set up the display board (designed by Gord) as used at events.

- Mary Lou is away enjoying their annual Caribbean Jazz Cruise....
- Treasurer Kathy has been busy with our "Rotary books" sending member invoices - she reminds us all to "pay up" via cheque or e-transfer...

Committee (and other) Updates
From Susan - The City of Richmond has agreed to have us at Branscombe House for our Thursday morning meeting on May 7th. This is the date the Mayor's office has said would be best for Mayor Brodie to attend our meeting and have a picture with us at the water filling station.
From Johnny AC - The next meeting February 5th is important and would ask that all on the committee try and be there. On another note please find attached the Auction Checklist prepared by Christine M. Put the dates in your diary and please post it in the Bulletin every week.

Priest vs Taxi Driver:
A priest and a taxi driver both died and went to heaven. St. Peter was at the Pearly gates waiting for them. “Come with me”, said St. Peter to the taxi driver.
The taxi driver did as he was told and followed St. Peter to a mansion. It had anything you could imagine from a bowling alley to an Olympic size pool.
“Wow, thank you.”, said the taxi driver.
Next, St. Peter led the priest to a rugged old shack with a bunk bed and a little old television set.
“Wait, I think you are a little mixed up.”, said the priest. “Shouldn’t I be the one who gets the mansion?
After all I was a priest, went to church every day, and preached God’s word.”
God replied “Yes, that’s true. But during your sermons people slept. When the taxi driver drove, everyone prayed!”
