Kal: celebrates his two-year anniversary since his operation. He is walking and talking - more or less. Happy Hannukah.
Dalbir: ran into a former member at White Spot at breakfast the other day. There was no speech about a barn.(Your guess is as good as ours.)
Debbie T.: was at Lawrence and her son’s band’s show (New album on Spotify now!), which was fantastic. Tonight, she is going to see "Oliver" with the office. Won’t be as good as Brehdren, but what is, really?
Susan loves us dearly despite not shaking our hands. Our condolences to her Costco family member who recently lost their battle with cancer.
Moe: New Year’s resolution will be to arrive in time to shake hands. Enjoyed the seeming schadenfreude of his kids stressing at the mall while he relaxed at home.
Michael:Moving into his new home on Friday, December 27. Put up the Christmas tree at his current home. Presumably to avoid being arrested for breaking and entering into his new home.
Melinda: is flogging turkeys before heading to Africa for a month after stopping in Hawaii. Our best to John on the procedure to save his eye.
Debbie S.: is enjoying the festivities. On Sunday, with Nicole and friends, she saw Dolly Parton’s "Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol" after eating at Bin’s. This is the first Christmas for her granddaughter Avery.
Pat: flew with her daughter-in-law to Prince George last weekendto see her grandson play hockey against a tough team. Boys were injured, snow was abundant, and the airport is far away.Welcome toPrince George.
Mary Lou: is having a fun Christmas with a four-year-old.
Debbie M.: is going to enjoy Christmas as much as possible with Amalia, enjoying her reactions to the little things. She is going to Mexico to Miles’ sister’s place for Christmas.
Bobby: had the toy drive on Sunday, which was an amazing event. Toys were distributed this week, including to the food bank, where they saw so many people in the lineup already. He went to Children’s Hospital and met Pam Gillis, who remembered Victor delivering the toys 20 years ago, so she joined them. A testament to an amazing person.
Garth: moved the Owl. Also, he recorded for four hours without a break last night.
Marg: feels like she’s already done Christmas, including a litany of musicals, plays, baking, hockey, and Chor Leoni. And now she unwittingly gets to feed 32 people roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.
Lawrence: saw "Fly Over Canada" with his mother-in-law, calling it "Jingle Over Canada," but for Filipinos, that means “taking a leak,” so the kids got a good chuckle.
Sam: loves doing this and wrapping presents. Thank God someone does. Also, he took a glass-blowing class on Granville Island and made a (presumably) lovely paperweight.
Jeannette: is glad Canada Post is (awkwardly) back to work, and her mom’s passport is in the mail, because she’s flying next week.
Brian: went skating with skis at Cypress with Adam last weekend. To note, the Academy Duo has archery and sword playing...club outing anyone?
Elena:thanks the Ghirra family, as they have packed a bag for the Philippines too. With her husband, she went to the warehouse yesterday. The loading is on January 11.
Peter:granddaughter was in San Diego at the soccer tournament, and they won. She got hit on the nose with a cleat, and her nose bled a lot. (You should see the other girl)
Chris M.: thinks ChatGPT is a person. Has her ex-husband staying with her over Christmas. Only 9 days left. But who’s counting?
Sandra: there is a leak in the house and roof problems. Presumably no one’s jingling over her family, but she still got all of Christmas up in time!
Judy:her son Warren bought tickets for the Christmas train, which was canceled. This Sunday, her family has the Cruikshank dinner which is now a whopping 42 family members!Don’t think you would have all fit on the train anyway.
Peachy: is facing her first Christmas without her brother, which is very sad.(Our hearts go out to you, Peachy!) Also, here’s a new segment called #ChatGPTWroteThis “There are floods in the Philippines. She plans to build a three-story house there so her mom won’t drown.”
Blair: has been traveling in Alberta, seeing the grandchildren, and having dinner instead of a hockey game. He also thanked Micheal and Bobby, who are looking for his jacket. Conspiracy Theory: this is how Blair gets new jackets.
Amanda loves Sam’s wrapping paper. Crazy December, hopefully followed by a calmer January. Amazing insight: Amanda has day drinking attire.
John will pick up his gift in the New Year.
