Last weeks meeting
Susan introduced our speakers Tom Smith and Tanya Hall. Tom is a member of the Tsawwassen Rotary Club (since 2002), and past member of the Vancouver Club. He is a past President of his club and a former Assistant District Governor. Currently he is the District Membership Chair. He gave us an enthusiastic presentation on retention of existing members and recruiting new members. When recruiting new members he suggested a few key words - why join Rotary? "Make Friends and Do Good" kinda says it all...
Tanya is a member of the Sunshine Coast Rotary Club. She spoke about her District role with Membership alumni. Some exciting developments on the horizon... Carolyn thanked Tom and Tanya for their presentations.

Hi Fellow Rotarians,
I know most of you are already signed up...so for those that are not... Please remember to go online to sign up at Myrotary.org. It is amazing the information you will find at your finger tips about what is happening in our district and around the world. If you need any help just let me know.
Hi Fellow Rotarians,
Here we go again ....Try not to get voted off the Wine Survivor Island.
This is our annual Club Foundation fundraiser back by popular demand. The entry fee is $20.00 and a bottle of wine valued at 20 (or more if you like!). These become the spoils for the winners. Bring your money and wine to the Rotary meeting on Sept 5th. There are only 60 spots (and you can buy more than one spot) so contact Debbie S right away if you want to participate. You must give her your money and your wine by Sept5th. The daily elimination draws will begin on Monday, Sept 12th . Once you’re in, you’re in. No withdrawing unless you have someone to take your spot!
SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!
