Last weeks meeting
Mary Lou introduced our speaker Seth Grenzberg. Seth participated in Rotary's "Adventures in Tourism" program recently. He described a very interesting week spent in and around Kelowna. His group included 15 students from around the world as well as one from Kelowna. They were given tours of many of Kelowna's tourism hot spots including the Delta Grand Hotel. Each location gave them a brief presentation on the "behind the scenes" activities of their establishment. Students were then required to make a brief presentation to a local Rotary Club. Seth found it to be a very interesting and "eye opening" week, Chris P thanked Seth for his presentation. For more info and great photos go to (may have to copy and paste into your browser):

- Carolyn is retiring in a few weeks!! Now for some well deserved "free time"!!
- Dalbir had a full week with funerals, weddings, and car accidents (maybe only one of each!)...
- Sam joined Rotary 8 years ago..AND he reports "no hitch, getting hitched"!
- Kal's 60th birthday has been well marked with a celebration garden party AND a cruise to Cuba. Cuba may never be the same!

- Did you know? More than 300 people have died trying to reach the summit of Mt Everest AND It is estimated that more than 200 bodies dot the mountain.

We now have a final date for the Auction Wind Up Thursday June 6, 2019 6:30 - 8:30. It will be at Kal & Lavina Mahals at 16551 Westminster Highway. Thankyou Kal & Lavina. Dinner will not be served but if people could bring some appies. I think we have enough left over wine from the Auction. I will set up a registration on Club Runner and send out an invitation later.
