Joyce had a quiet week but is gearing up for the family going to Trinidad in February, where there is close family. She is going through photos to make albums but is now in an AI photo enhancing tool and the short project is turning into an adventure.
Mary Lou will have Oscar all day as there is no school, and she is hoping to be able to return him home later. Cypress mountain tubing was so much fun with Oscar that she didn’t want it to end.
Jeannette attended an intergenerational event online last Saturday. There is a leak on her deck after the bad weather.
Chris M. is loving having everyone stay home during the snow days, and it reminds her of covid. Matt is going to bake bread. They hosted a baby shower on Sunday for 50 people, guys and girls. The men said it was the best baby shower they’ve ever been to – and the first. (Ed Note: This is trend I have been to a baby and wedding shower) Thanks to Anita, and for sharing Sunny’s story.
Susan also thanks Anita. She is off to Costco shortly despite the inclement weather. She couldn’t send out the A Star Society e-brochure to everyone through Clubrunner, so she sent it directly via email. Ask Susan if would like to have it sent to you.
Amanda was happy not to work yesterday, and she stayed home and hung out with the less-crazy cat. 
Peter recognized Bob, who came out and mixed pancake batter despite carpal tunnel symptoms at the breakfast on Tuesday at Gilmore. It is a great opportunity to see what we do in action and is so enjoyable.
Peachy yesterday tried to enjoy the snow outside, but there was a disaster in her apartment building, with a pipe bursting in the freezing cold. Her neighbour, trying to cut down on hydro costs, didn’t turn on the heat in her bedroom and the pipe burst. Peachy is consoling her. The pancake breakfast was a great time, and we make pancakes so fast. Peachy used to be a dancer herself and that’s how she got her self-confidence.💃
Dalbir knows about converting photos to digital, and recently purchased a photo scanner and a photo stick to download to the computer. A former member, does dance and theatre, in Anita’s neighbourhood. Many societies do this, and dance is an important aspect for self-confidence. (Ed note: not if you dance like me.)
Bobby is glad all the videos worked out. Last week he spent time with the kids watching football, and set up an account with 360 bets, $10 to start. He remembers that his brother Victor used to drive a 4X4 Chevy Suburban and they used to use it to clear the snow, so they had it out yesterday and it brought back memories.
Sandra says it’s a beautiful site out her window. She was in Toronto, with -15 º. Her flight home yesterday was severely delayed, and she thinks she will work from home today. Thanks to Anita, also for the good memories of having a child in dance.
Marg thanks Anita for the presentation. She had to cancel all the literary groups this week. Richmond SD had principals go in even though the schools are closed. Don was at school yesterday and is today as well. Work is great, life is low key, and she’s had dinners with friends. Quilchena golf course gives them a stunning view.
Pat told Anita her work is amazing, and that Sunny’s story is incredible. Breakfast on Tuesday was great. It is beautiful outside. Her lawn cutting service had offered to come during the winter to do other things, so Tuesday they spread salt on her walkway and driveway.
John is sure his dance skills are the same as Bob’s. He saw nature at work before the snow, when a falcon came down to pin one of the little birds to the ground – he got a photo. Referring to last week’s discussion, John remembers that in 1980 as an articling student he made $750/month, a week later $800, and $24,000/year when he was called to the bar. He compared that to salaries of accountants.
Gordon thanks Anita for her tremendous presentation. His younger granddaughter in a Fine Arts program in Langley and loves it. He has been to their concerts at the end of each year, where the students show incredible self-assurance and poise. She has done modeling as well. Gordon likes the silence of the snowy weather, no traffic or noise, but he won’t be going out.
Sam has winter madness with schools closed, as he wants to talk to people. Justin did hip hop when he was younger, and Sam loves to see him do those dance moves at weddings. They went skiing this weekend for first time locally (learned last year in Colorado), but as he was concerned about the cold, he wore two pairs of socks, and his feet were stuck in boots.
Bill thanks Anita and expressed regret that his family doesn’t let him do hip hop. Canucks night is with the entire family. Bill also went to Toronto and came back a day before Sandra, so he might be to blame for the bad weather.
Bob thanks Anita and warns that some of us may get in front of the mirror this morning, doing a dance. For the breakfast there was less turnout, maybe because of the cold, or flu season. He sees the same Rotarians helping, so encourages others to come and help, see the joy on the kids’ faces and get free pancakes. He’s not sure what has, but there is a pain in his right elbow, maybe tennis, carpal – what has he been doing that’s different? - making and mixing pancake batter, maybe he has to take a break. He doesn’t like to shovel snow, so yesterday he just made three passes by the car doors.
