This is the weekly bulletin for
The Richmond
Sunrise Rotary Club
for February 18, 2020

Last weeks meeting

Bill introduced and Belinda thanked our speaker Gregory Ould from Blanket BC. Gregory told the story of stopping and talking to a homeless person in Oct 2005. Asked if there was anything that he could do and the homeless person said "I could use a blanket to survive the night". From that humble beginning Blanket BC Society has become an award winning nonprofit organization that continually collects and distributes blankets and warm clothing to shelter programs, families in need, emergency services, First Nations and Indigenous communities. They raise awareness on homelessness, poverty and social economic issues while promoting volunteerism at an early age. For more information go to www.blanketbc.org

Today's Chuckle(s)

     - My old aunts would come and tease me at weddings, “Well Sarah? Do you think you’ll be next?”
We’ve settled this quickly once I’ve started doing the same to them at funerals.

Q: What do you get when you combine an insomniac, an agnostic, and a dyslexic?  A: Someone who lays awake at night wondering the true meaning of Dog.
