Last weeks meeting

The 7 kids ranged in age from 5 to 10 years. "Alia" (8 yrs) was the lead spokesperson. Their presentation finished with questions to Rotarians. An interesting and different program... Meanderings

Did you know?  An Epidemic is an outbreak of disease that attacks many peoples at  about  the  same  time  and  may  spread  through  one  or  several  communities.
A Pandemic is the worldwide spread of a new disease.
Throughout history, there have been a number of pandemics, such as smallpox and tuberculosis. One of the most devastating pandemics was the Black Death, which killed an estimated 75 - 200 million people in the 14th century. Some recent pandemics include: HIV, Spanish flu, 2009 flu pandemic and H1N1. Where will COVID-19 fit into the history books? Minor footnote we hope....

From Debbie M:
A Friendly reminder -February is coming to a close. It is a month that is all about Heart, love and caring, Plus it has also been a very cold month especially for many people that are living on the streets. I am sending out this friendly challenge to go above and beyond your usual kind and generous ways to perform an Act of Kindness this week that you may not have done otherwise. It can be to a stranger or someone you already know. We would love to hear your story at SAA....

From Debbie M., Foundation Chair: Just a friendly reminder to be thinking about who you would like to nominate for our Internal Paul Harris and  our External Paul Harris. Please write the name of the person you are nominating and a brief reason or story why you have nominated that person.

Today's Chuckle(s)

Courtesy from Kathy:

A Highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway.. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting!

Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled, “PULL OVER!”
“NO!” the blonde yelled back, “IT'S A SCARF!”
