Debbie S. is back from a cruise through Maritimes where she had a great time with family. It was on her Fathers bucket list, and she learned about the history of Halifax. She visited the “Admirals House” museum and learned tons of information about the Navy. She also saw the Christening Bell with names engraved on it but alas not the bell her friend, who was born in Halifax, was engraved on.
Sam who claimed he was happy to be here now has a practicum student for the next six weeks (if she can stand him for that long) and so far so good.
Peter was golfing last weekend where it was hot and windy and rattlesnakey. He saw two rattlesnakes - one had been run over and the other ran very quickly away. He is off to go fishing near 100 mile house so appreciated the boat safety reminder from our speaker.
Judy had a great time with grand kids on the cruise. Although one of the grand kids had dad’s nexus card. Quickly drew a mustache on him so he made it through customs. Next trip she stayed at the River Rock because it was too windy to go out on her sisters boat. Went to the Beatle themed Bard on the Beach and also coupled golfing with drinking, I think the drinking occurred after the round. (my advice – drink during – helps with the putting.)

Debbie M. had been to Penticton a couple times and her paddling team won two gold medals with paddling.
Chris B. grandson has qualified for the Alberta provincials in swimming. Before covid he was also an excellent speed skater. She is off until July 3rd.
Peachy did not recover her face book page (?) and a friend from England is visiting for three weeks.
Chris P. regaled us with a story of falling into the water in Active Pass fortunately with a flotation device with ss other people had to pull them out or the water. She is going back for personal training and was about to show us how ripped she is when fortunately she was arrested. No one was prepared to post bail.
Jeanette got her credit card fraud refunded. She is going to West Vancouver to pick up book donations. She is then flying to Philippines for three weeks.
Elena had a picnic at a friend’s back yard. She travelled to Nanaimo and Victoria. Also presented the RWHN to Gabriel’s community food project.
Garth went to Whistler where he did a lot of golfing and dinning out.
Caroline is reviewing the peace fellowship applications are in and doing the final review and the applicants are impressive. All golfers are invited to play in the Therapeutic Riding fundraiser on August 27th at Country Meadows at 1 pm. The program helps so many groups of kids.
Blair has been invited to join our Thursday golf excursions although he may have to bring some extra cash because of the high stakes at risk.
On Wednesday I noticed a slight smell of smoke in the air in Ladner and Thursday morning there was the smell of dope. Smoke then dope. Or is it rope a dope!
Chris M did not sleep last night as the cat was missing. They had a BBQ so with people coming in and out the cat escaped. So the cat was not in her room when she went to bed and so she was out looking for the cat as it did not even answer texts. Turned out the cat was in Olivia’s room and they had thought it was the dog. There was a lot of advice about getting an air tag for the cat as she obviously has her phone off when she is sleeping.
Pat had her back deck sanded and re-stained. She chose a different colour and now it looks too red. Did not realize how red but hopes to get used to it.
Melinda, who never talks about her grand kids, had them Saturday watching willow is going Zen doing yoga and says some ice cream would be good too. Rory is now a spicey meatball into the terrible twos and John and Melinda wondering if it was time to go home yet. Brook is doing the crawl. Peter and John were driving in the Cadillac with 650 horse power and John started getting car sick 🤢so Peter had to drive home. Broke the sound barrier on the straight stretches between Hedley and Princeton.
