Blair had to correct your editor as he has only been married twice (Blair that is) and is therefore highly qualified to provide advice for married couples on what not to do.
Third time lucky Blair?
Garth said to wait at least a year.
Joyce was your editor's dream. She said "I was sick last week." and then sat down. Thankyou Joyce.
Mary Lou expressed her shock that all of her Air Canada flights were on time. She travelled to Toronto on the red eye, is going on the Mahal cruise and then back here for the presidents dinner. Somewhere in there was her daughter Lindsay's birthday a presentation at a conference. PHEW!
Dalbir had a birthday for his 39 year old son. He has been in the Okanagan, will be on the Mahal cruise and presenting at the same conference as Mary Lou.
Chris P. gave what she claims is her last son Mitch story until he gets his first job. Anyway he aced his last pilots exam with a 96% after arriving slightly late for what was to be a 3 hour exam and finishing it in 40 minutes. This was after being verbally harassed by the lady who was registering the students.
"What me worry"
Marg donated $20 to the club for her new Lexus SUV. Enjoyed the play Sexy Laundry but did not enjoy Cambodian Rock Band as it had been cancelled and her friend did not get the email or did perhaps did - who knows. Marg's friend was also unknown to her, reimbursed on her credit card (not Marg's her friend's). At least Marg got a dinner out of it.
Kal went on his Mahal Birthday cruise five years ago after getting out of jail for 20 years for murder and wearing a t-shirt that said that. There seemed to be a discussion about Sandra and Louise making a scene so this years t-shirt will have two crazy white ladies - Thelma and Louise.
Bill sent Shelly to visit a friend in Denver and then gave Sam's report of their 5th wedding anniversary and 10th together anniversary. Sam wore bad pants on the anniversaries and Shelly made flowers from all the pairs to sew onto this years pants. In sports news their hockey team is undefeated.
Bobby is either just back or on his way to Palm Springs. Then to Whistler for a while and busy at work. He drove to a wedding event that had been cancelled and the board meeting was cancelled. He had to go ask Micheal what to do - NOT!
Jeanette was in Victoria for mothers day. Went to Gibsons after waiting three hours for the ferry but not so long for the Victoria Ferry. Watched the Northern Lights. Tried to adopt a French Bulldog from Europe but the cost to transport was around $2.500. Sounds like she got lots of advice from other members where to get one.
Peachy is working every night and on her business every day.
Micheal is back from India with his daughter and happy she is home. Described two events of water failure at the palace that created an emergency need for porta potties. The Ghirras may permanently use them as they are of studio quality. The problem seems to be fixed now.
Pat needed some retail therapy as she is required to register the well they have been using for years. She also was changing the address but according to the envelope she couldn't use that form for a change of address. Also reported that six cars at the country club were electronically broken into.
Melinda saw the play Sexy Laundry and really enjoyed it. Got great art work from the granddaughters for mothers day and is now keeping a folder of the art work. It is also Heath's Birthday today 41.
Susan celebrated her mother's 84 birthday with some Rotarians and on mothers day went to see son Ryan singing in a youth choir at the Orpheum. Is advising the Rotoract club.
I am in the Okanagan and had no trouble charging the EV on this trip. There has been a boil water advisory on Skaha Lake for a year so we are installing a UV treatment and filter system. The sound on Zoom is sporadic when those in attendance are laughing or more than one person is talking. Anyway that's my excuse this week.
Sandra reported that Miller is doing well and weighs 16 lbs. Had a great trip with her daughter and sister to Portugal and London.
Debbie S. enjoyed her marathon in London with her sister after taking one tube the wrong way by following runners with a different coloured bib, then missing her stop and retracing the route, and being told by one of the attendants she needed to take a different tube. Daughter Nicole was taking a bus to our Gala but the bus broke down. The driver told her she couldn't get off with no explanation. But she eventually got off anyway. Weird huh.
Garth has been busier at work then he wants to be. When he owned property where every body had their own septic tank the Government wanted a communal septic covering a large piece of land and would have been very costly. Fortunately, the idea faded away.
Peter had his first fishing trip but had to wait for rain and thunder and lighting before the fish were biting. Granddaughter going on a sanitized camping trip.
Bob enjoyed his week in Scottsdale hiking and learning about Sedona. All millionaires, no malls all shops owned by people who don't live there. no teenagers and no tourists. People watch movies in the summer because of the air conditioning. Their land developments are hundreds of acres. Building costs here have increased eight fold since he first built a house.
