Chris P. expressed her concern at the current dissention in the Club and reminded us to apply the Four Way test during our meetings and interacting with each other.
Garth during his Classification Speech was asked what Rotarian was a positive influence, and he named Chris Offer who has dedicated a large portion of his life to Rotary. Garth is going to be getting some titanium at some point but he is 81st on the waiting list.
I just got back from a trip along the Oregon Coast and learned that much of Washington State and 70% of Oregon is desert and or prairie. We also adopted a 2 year old Whoodle that is part poodle and part whoopie cushion. Say hi to Huffy!
Elena attended a meeting of Senior Services in New Westminster and will be helping them organize an event.
Debbie S. took delivery of her all electric Audi after waiting about a year for delivery.
๐Not sure she has paid her $20 donation yet but I do know we ain't finding out the next time she buys a new car.
Jeanette has found the perfect motivator for her walking exercise program - walk to the mall!
Sandra is a new grandmother of Miller Hass who created a lot of anxiety by spending his first four days in the NICU. That's is where Sandra had worked when she was a nurse but it is a whole different experience when it is your grandchild.
Say hi to Miller
Amanda had to respond in a hurry to Graham's need for the car. She is doing well on the 180 day challenge.
Marg's cousin from Manitoba helped achieve $4,000 in sales at the Church fundraiser and make 14 cartons of borscht.
Bill explained why so many were away from the naughty table as they were away being naughty or sick or something. He had a great time in Montreal running over two bridges and the F1 track - which was very cool. ๐ Also where if you are not first you're last. (Yes, I quoted Ricky Bobby).
Kal has a one-way ticket to California.
Daniel, our guest speaker, had one of the worst seats for breakfast this morning (at the naughty table - he was sitting in Judy's usual spot. All I can say is, been there done that!) He told us about his trip to Qualicum with a two year old (also been there done that) where he finally had to call his mom for advice.
Chris B. was not well last week. Her daughter (yes another lawyer) has an assistant, I think she said in the Philippines who works on all Stephanie's videos. She can work online from anywhere in the world and has nothing on paper. Don't forget to back it up.
Pat is back from Palm Springs and is heading right into book club and bowling.
Susan's son was very much into video games as an only child.
Malinda overslept as she has been busy turkey flogging. Apparently, it is played a lot like polo except everyone rides a turkey, uses a hockey stick, and knocks bocce balls through croquet wickets. Congratulations Sandra and Melinda doubts if we will hear about Miller again - unless of course it's MILLER TIME! ๐บNot likely the last time you will hear that.
Bobby stayed at the Fairmont and made sure he got everything that was offered for free. Apparently this included free yoga, fruit, coffee, tea, cookies and a free dinner with a group called the Everest Club. This is a club where the members climb up Whistler and take the Gondola down eight times - one right after another.
Michael's new homeless friend Jacob turns out to be a chef and has sent in a resume and Michael says he may hire him. Not to be out done by his homeless experience Michael waited in his car while a woman was moving her vehicles around. She was moving her ex husbands truck when her foot slipped out of the sandal she was wearing and hit the gas. The truck smashed into two parked vehicles. Between the experience of returning from his shopping trip in the US - flat and then loss of a tire, finding a homeless person in his new house, and now witnessing the smashing of vehicles in front of him, Micheal wins the Sargeant at Arms Gold medal for 2023.

Blair had nothing to report, ZILCH, ZERO NADA. He gets the Bronze Medal ๐ฅ
Peter, who did a great job filling in for our absent President, said his grandson had been in the NICU when born as his bowels were outside his body. In the bed next to his grandson was a boy named Jake and they are BFFs. Also not enough volunteers at the pancake breakfast this week so we need more for next month.
