Judy had a fun filled easter at Birch Bay with 18 family members but needed a two hour nap the next day. Again another sad note, Ray Sawada died at 38 years old.

Peter got up at 3:15 this as the Pomeranian had chased something under the house with a rotten egg smell. Fortis came and fortunately everything was fine.
Bill reported that Jake (aka Sam’s brother) had a job interview with a conservative talk radio station. Jake (aka Sam’s brother) discovered this by doing a google search before hand and he (Sam's brother that is) declined the interview. (He could have been rubbing elbows with Alex Jones).
Amanda was busy with Rotary activities. She was out shopping at golf town when someone stole her bag that had the basket content list. She has sent an email requesting the information she needs to make tomorrow work smoothly
Larry spent 9 hours in university ER before seeing a Dr, and was told he had to wait until July to get an emergency MRI.
Susan has been nominated for a Volunteers are Stars award and does not know how to handle the praise. She is very sorry for all the losses and it is important to remember those but also to enjoy the ones we have. Ryan is studying with cue cards and her mom is doing is a lot better. Pat is busy Friday hosting a meeting and getting the snow tires off the car. Her granddaughter’s volleyball team gained a spot in the provincials.
Elena has met with an optometrist to organize a mission to the Philippines for eye glasses and treatment including cataract operations. She showed her three boys when they were young, the downtown east side to show them what can happen if one takes the wrong path.
Jeanette came to breakfast directly from her night shift at the hospital. She will be going to birthday dinner Tuesday. She is doing an assessment of one of Peachy’s clients. She is also grateful to Kal for something that cannot be repeated!!!!! 😲Well only because I didn’t hear what it was.
Micheal got his 1983 Cadillac back from body shop and along with his Impala SS he is applying for collectors plates. His daughter had her 3rd birthday. And Michael Jordan’s running shoes sold for $2.2 million. Micheal G. could only bid up to 2 mil! 🏀
Carolyn is into the 3rd week of granddaughters cooking and they know to wash their hands first. Granddaughter was at meeting about KIVA and they talked about people in the world who do not have what we have. She, the granddaughter that is, also learned about President Melinda’s potty mouth. 🤬
Gordon got to meal with family in Surrey without being shot or robbed. His daughter in law’s mother is going for chemo.
Dalbir had some company from Germany who are travelling through BC and were very complementary about how nice people are here.
Chris M.’s house is getting fuller as an old friend from Rotterdam will be staying for a week before he goes to a gulf island. Thanks to Brian who took Max camping and they both had a good time.
Mary Lou went to the cabin and there was so much snow they had to haul everything and even the dogs could not get through. Then she had a quick exchange with Sam that involved bacon and historical persecution. I am pretty sure they were not referring to die hard Canuck fans.
Joyce had a great week with a surprise birthday cake which included a hole in one. Was in Sechelt and drank until it was wonderful. (at least that’s what my notes say – is that the same as a happy ending? 😘. Thanks to those who signed up for S @ A and inspirational quote.
Garth had a good weekend with grandkids at easter and a birthday.
Debbie has had a crazy emotional week. She ordered 2300 flags from Amazon who lost all but 400 but fortunately found another supplier. The flags are in honor of those lost to addiction and will be planted in Richmond Friday April 15th. (There is a great interview of Debbie and Drew in the Saturday Vancouver Sun.) She is installing artificial turf in the back yard so the dogs will no longer dig it up. Her brussel sprouts were growing well as that is where the dogs pee. (more on this later.)
Bobby had a fun week with the kids in the US. He ordered an Italian bottle of wine at the Bellevue steak house until he realized the cost was $60 a glass not a bottle which was $900. Plus he did not want to impair Micheal’s ability to bid on the Michael Jordan shoes.
Sandra had good easter weekend and tomorrow will be helping Ryan as he gets possession of his condo. Sadly, she had some friends who were taking their bags out of their car at an air BNB who were hit by a car and are in critical condition.
I celebrated two birthdays on the weekend one for a one year old granddaughter and a four year old grandson. Good news and bad news from the dentist. I do not have to pay for a root canal but the tooth has to be pulled.
Brian says that brussels sprouts is natures way of farting in your mouth. Max went camping with Brian and family which is apparently like camping with dumb and dumber. (Max was too freaked to come to the Thursday meeting). The weather was good so everybody went swimming and hiking. Although swimming was in scream and out. Max was great with the kids.
Sam is celebrating Justin’s birthday and both of them are poor at keeping the present a secret. Sam said not to report that Justin is getting a ____ ____ for his birthday so I won’t. Justin apparently kept nagging him so Sam got Justin a bonus present, a toaster.
Melinda said that Ray Sawada was one of the nicest men. It is part of the progression of life to lose someone, but it is very sad when they are that young. She is sorry for all losses. Eat the cake when you can. She had a wonderful easter with friends who have 8 children. The easter egg hunt had a very high noise level.
