Last weeks meeting
PE Debbie S presented a cheque to John of the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation society. Rick Hansen is on their Board, John brought greetings and thank you from Rick and their Board.
Mark introduced our speaker Rose Hamilton. She spoke to us about SOS Children's Village BC. The first SOS Village was founded in 1949 in Austria. SOS Children’s Villages has been dedicated to providing family-based, long-term care to children who cannot grow up with their biological families. It also focuses on strengthening families and communities so that conditions that cause children to be placed in out of home care are avoided. For more info go to www.sosbc.org. Melinda thanked

- Glad to see ex member and past president Heather! She told us of some of her recent adventures including visits to the Yukon, Vietnam and Palm springs..
- Mark made it 3 meetings in a row!!
- Quite a few members report upcoming absences as they enjoy the Holiday season visiting friends and relatives "in far off lands".
- Peter reminded us that if you don't believe in Santa you will only get socks and underwear for Christmas...
