Sam said he and Pat became members at the same time. Sam is happy he has no hearing loss as he was the only member who claimed to have heard everything Pat said all year.
Peter said that Pat is a consummate golfer, and her property is right next to a golf course. She is miffed by golfers that stop by her wooden fence and relieve themselves by putting their “willies” through her fence. One day while carrying two plastic bags she was stopped by a policeman as $20 bills were falling out of one of the bags. The policeman asked Pat where the money came from. Pat explained the problem with the “willies” through the hole in the fence and that when it happened she would grab the “Willie” and demand $20 if they did not want it cut off with her pruners. The policemen asked what the other bag was for. Pat replied “Not everybody paid up!”
Chris B used Patricia’s name to list her good qualities, not all of which I was able to record. (Sorry🥺) But Pat is a Perfectionist, Active in Golf and tennis, has a great Relationship with grand children, belongs to a Country Club and Insects are not her best friends.
Belinda said when you join this club you realize there are some ruthless members. But President Pat is adorable and the ruthlessness has subsided. Pat brought a different frame of being as the beautiful and kind person she is guiding us as an amazing president.
Mary Lou is proud that she sponsored Pat into the club. In Mary Lou’s 23 years Pat is the only President who always arrived early. The Zoomers had to move close to the laptop to hear her. Not only does Pat drive to Palm Springs and Prince George but is also director of Woman’s University Club and must have no time to do laundry. Congratulations on a good year.
Dick is impressed by President Pat taking difficult steps to deal with a difficult issue.
Debbie M. said it has been a great pleasure working with Pat and on all the committees. Debbie noted the emails at 1 in the morning. Pat is small but mighty and Debbie is proud of her and gives Pat her whole support.
Judy remarked on Pat’s challenging year between zoom hybrid meetings and Pat’s bout with covid. Pat showed leadership, guidance and faced all the challenges. At the end, Pat came out smiling and giggling with her sense of humour and a sigh of relief having given it her all.
Kal claimed to have no “willie” as he was short $20. Kal recalled Pat’s 14 calls and 20 emails the night before our Thursday meeting. Ruth Buzzy then walked over to Kal smacked him with her purse. Lucky Kal, she didn’t bring her pruners.
Marg also provided an ode to Pat using the letters of the name. Pat is Perfectly proper, she Attacks issues relentlessly, she Includes everything in her reports, belongs to a Country club. Marg related how both she and Pat wanted to resign from the club and were talked into staying. Marg told Pat she will be president one day. Fortunately for all of us in the club they are both still members.
Michael thanked Pat for her leadership and how things got better as the year went on. Slowly back to a new normal and it was great being part of Pat’s team.
Garth did not want to comment on the willie jokes. He never heard a word of what Pat said all year. Pat, as our president, was overlapping as the golf captain at the Country Club which was a good warm up for dealing with this club.
Danny has known Pat since 2015 as kind, accommodating, strong and brave. At the District Conference Pat worked past midnight. Danny presented Pat with a beautiful photo book of his photos with inspirational quotes. Danny also presented her with a self-hand carved agate pendant necklace.
Elena said she appreciated how Pat responds right away meets any challenges. Elena was impressed with all the driving Pat did from and to the District Conference. Thanked Pat for being so brave and presented Pat with gifts of a scarf and jewelry items from the Philippines.
Bobby is impressed with Pat’s precision and organization and “Bobby please don’t make any changes.” Pat shows her dedication by responding right away with Emails sometimes at 1 AM. Bobby is trying to get his son involved in Rotary and his son is amazed at what Pat does and how crazy she is to drive to Palm Springs.
Gord says that whenever there is a roast, he tries to think of embarrassing events but Pat is such a gentle person and a rod of steel he came without his black bag of embarrassing moments. Rotary is a family and not one person and Pat successfully included every one in our Rotary family. Gord had a Rotary mug for Melinda.
Chris M. brought her mothers old tennis racket and a poem with all the tennis and golf vocabulary you could ever want to hear.
‘Twas the match of a lifetime,
And Pat got us through,
She volleyed, aced, smashed
Advantaged and deuced!

John had Pat show off her putting skills for prizes, which included a hand carved golf tee from Peace Portal with accompanying ball marker, a Taylor Made golf ball with Brooke Henderson’s initials, and a Dino club cover to keep away the racoons and skunks.
Sandra compared golf to being Rotary President. Golf is six months and Rotary president is 12 months. In both you have to carry a bag. In both you respect peoples time, introduce yourself with a handshake and silence is golden. In both you also can take your time but don’t be slow don’t lose your temper and know where to stand, respect the course and the other players. Both require mental planning and to be ready.
Susan was happy to be here in person. She thinks Pat is the whole package, kind, strives for perfection, is detailed and rides out the storm she does not just weather the storm.
Bob considers the club more as a team that is defined by it’s leader and Pat has made us all better people and a better team.
Joyce said that when nobody is looking Pat does the right thing and is dedicated to kindness.
Debbie S. enjoyed being on the board with Pat, her sense of humour and the zingers. Pat is a funny, humorous and lovely person. Ants, raccoons and skunks want to hang out and be with Pat.
Dalbir said Pat is all about etiquette and protocol. She works relentless for the club. But she is also a quiet sniper. Pat is very dedicated. She went to the opening of Story Walk and then drove to Prince George. She is from a farming family and plans on taking on the provincial government. Not yet but watch out. No task is too big for Pat.

Pat told us she had played golf yesterday and had trouble getting out of the sand because it was so soft. She had weepy hugs for us all and wished us to enjoy our day.
