Last weeks meeting
Debbie M (Foundation Chair) presented a Paul Harris pin to John M. The double blue PH pin signify's John's 3rd $1k contribution to the Rotary Foundation. Congratulations John!!
Mary Lou introduced our speaker, Tabitha Geraghty of CHIMO. Tabitha told us that CHIMO means friend or friendship. CHIMO office is located in the Caring Place. CHIMO has been in Richmond for over 45 years, started in 1973 as a crisis service. They have since expanded through nine program areas. Chimo provides diverse services from community building to prevention, from individual crisis support to advocacy, and from peer support to education. Chimo volunteers play an important role in providing community services (1600 Richmond residents served last year!). Belinda thanked Tabitha for her presentation.
