This is the weekly bulletin for
The Richmond
Sunrise Rotary Club
for June 25, 2019

Last weeks meeting

We were entertained by a presentation AND singing by 7 of the Richmond Ensemble Singers. Their fabulous voices improved our "Oh Canada" considerably! Ron introduced spokesperson Pat who gave the groups history. They then performed 3 songs with Cindy on the keyboard. Brian thanked them. He gave them the coveted Rotary pen but since there were 7 singers he suggested ("Tongue in Cheek") that they each use the pen one day of each week. - President Larry saved the day by providing 6 more pens!!

    - Did you know?  What's the origin of the phrase 'Tongue in cheek'? This phrase clearly alludes to the facial expression created by putting one's tongue in one's cheek. This induces a wink (go on - try it), which has long been an indication that what is being said is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
